Director’s Statement:
A few years ago, I watched an intense documentary about soldiers who were put through some gruesome and awful testing during the Cold War. Even though it was a short doc, it stuck with me. And because I had a father who served in combat, I have a special place in my heart for those who put their lives on the line. That was the origin of this story for Honor’s Half-Life. There are some heavy themes hidden in the dystopic world in this short: duty, sacrifice, and mental health. The cost is not just to ourselves, but to the next generation.
