Until you fix this…

Why culture matters more than politics, and why nothing changes until it does. Hollywood wasn’t always one-sided. Here’s how it changed hands, what the numbers look like now, and what it takes to build again.

I’ve been in two Billboard-charting bands and built the Rippaverse into a company that’s done over sixteen million dollars in sales. At that level, I can count the people on my side of the aisle on one hand. That’s not a complaint. It’s a data point.

In this one I go through the history: the 1944 Motion Picture Alliance, Walt Disney and Ronald Reagan in front of Congress in 1947, the Paramount decision, the film-school generation and the long march through the institutions. Then the receipts: the donation numbers, why right of center audiences are more tolerant and why that works against them, why artists in the mainstream stay quiet, and why a studio like BioWare closing isn’t a victory.

This isn’t a political video. It’s about a return to normal: creators create freely, people disagree on politics and still enjoy the same things, and nobody gets cancelled or shunned. You don’t take back a table you never valued. You build your own.
