France’s legal system fails to protect victims of violent protest attacks
Citizen journalist Wesley Winter says he is pursuing legal action to find the perpetrator who attacked him, calling out the judicial system in France for not taking any meaningful action.
“If this was in the UK, if someone, you know, assaulted a police officer, I’m pretty sure they’d be in court the next day,” Mr Winter told News24 host Samara Gill.
“The government would do everything to assess the CCTV to find who is responsible.”
