🎥 More About “The Reclaimers”:
Reagen and her canine companion, Boone, are all that remain after their small island town is overrun by a mysterious swarm of invisible creatures. Among the victims of the attack were Reagen’s grandparents, whom she abandoned after a fight on the night of the invasion. Seeking retribution, Reagen utilizes Boone’s keen ability to see the creatures, and together they hunt down various portal-like nests that have emerged throughout the area, all while Reagen battles a different kind of monster with her daily addictions. Broken yet tenacious, Reagen must confront the horrors of her past mistakes as she and Boone set out to destroy one more nest hidden somewhere in her grandparent’s home.

🎬 Director’s Statement:
The Reclaimers deals with themes of loss, vengeance, and companionship. The initial idea for the screenplay came from walking my dog, Boone, who also happens to star in the film. She was growling at something unseen down a vacant street, and that sparked my imagination for crafting the story. I’ve always been attracted to survival horror, and the idea of characters struggling to find hope in otherwise hopeless situations. So I decided to build the conflict around a character confronting her own personal demons while also battling some very literal ones, in what I hope all culminates into a thrilling, moving journey.
