Apple launches first smart home hub called HomeView

Image Matrix Tech Editor Djuro Sen discusses Apple’s long-awaited smart home hub called HomeView, joining a list of companies cashing in on smart homes.

“Everyone’s been waiting for so long for Apple to have their own home hub device,” Mr Sen told News24.

“It’s only $499, which is pretty cheap for an Apple device.

“If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, this is really easy. It will recognise, through its camera, up to six people, so when you come up to see your messages, it’ll be private to you.”
