Why Hollywood Keeps Killing Your Heroes

Hollywood loves bringing back the heroes you already care about. Then it humiliates them, replaces them, sidelines them, and sometimes just kills them.
In a recent interview, the Lanterns writers said the quiet bit out loud: Oldies, move on or die. That pissed me off.
Not because of one show, but because that mindset seems to be everywhere now, in the way Hollywood talks about legacy, success, age, and who supposedly deserves to still be here.
Let’s look at where that attitude came from, why it’s so backwards, and what happened to the idea of actually respecting the people who came before you.
Featuring: Star Wars, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Green Lantern, Nirvana, Oasis, Quentin Tarantino, and more.
