Europe agrees to release diesel at a critical time for Trump as midterms loom

News24 Washington correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says diesel prices in America are at “record highs” as it’s a “crucial political issue” with the midterms on the horizon.

“The United States had been, according to the president, considering a ban on exporting diesel,” Mr Kearsley told News24.

“Diesel prices are at essentially record highs, and it’s a crucial political issue right now at the midterms.

“A number of these diesel price areas affect big farming states where they’re paying huge money to put diesel into their equipment.”
