‘Doesn’t look like a coincidence’: Explosives arrests spark fears of plot against US airbase

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge warns the arrests and security operation at RAF Fairford could point to a plot targeting the major US airbase.

“Having several men arrested on explosive charges, the base cordoned off and a major incident declared by the UK government,” Mr Shoebridge told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.

“This doesn’t look like a coincidence; it does look like some plot to target this major US airbase.

“It is the base that hosts those American Heavy bombers, the B-1’s in the footage, B-2’s and B-52’s.”
