A woman who says she previously supported Lindsay Clancy and viewed Patrick Clancy negatively has publicly reversed her position after watching his interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes. In a viral response amplified by commentator Gina Milan, the woman said that seeing Patrick speak about the deaths of his three children, his grief and the conspiracy theories aimed at him made her feel deeply sorry for him and changed her perspective entirely. During the interview, Patrick described experiencing suicidal thoughts after the killings and suffering a severe panic attack at the courthouse before jurors heard his anguished 911 call. He also said online accusations—including theories portraying him as responsible for the deaths—have been painful and “deeply harmful to the legacy” of Cora, Dawson and Callan. Lindsay Clancy’s defense does not dispute that she killed the children; her trial centered on whether postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible. The jury deadlocked, producing a mistrial after 11 jurors reportedly favored acquittal and one favored conviction. The viral reversal shows that Patrick’s interview changed at least one former supporter’s view, but it does not establish through polling that overall support for Lindsay has collapsed.
