Moscow rocked by ‘largest ever’ Ukrainian drone strike during wartime election

Ukraine unleashed what Moscow called its largest-ever drone assault on the capital as Russia wrapped up its wartime parliamentary election.

Russian officials said more than 1,000 drones were launched overnight, with hundreds aimed at Moscow and surrounding regions.

The barrage damaged the Moscow Oil Refinery and a residential building, while officials said two people were killed and 20 wounded.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin branded the assault the “largest ever” drone attack on the Russian capital.

The attack came as Russia held voting in occupied Ukrainian territories, a process Kyiv has denounced as illegal and illegitimate.
