Be realistic…

A lot of people are bullish on AI mostly because they resent the mainstream, and I want to bring that back to earth. AI was never promised to be the great equalizer, and it isn’t going to be one.

The mistake underneath it is assuming money was the gate. It wasn’t. If cheap tools were the barrier, then yes, this would change everything. But the same technology available to you is available to them, and they can deploy it at scale while you can’t. On top of that they still hold the IP, the nostalgia, the pipeline and the eyeballs. They can release seventeen duds in a row and get an eighteenth swing, because people love those properties and will show up regardless, sometimes even out of spite.

So best case, AI is a wash. Worst case, the advantage goes to them, because they get the same cost savings on top of everything they already had.

And there’s a second problem people skip. Passive engagement and purchase are different animals. People will scroll past anything. Getting somebody to reach into their pocket for work from a name they don’t know is a completely different bar, and no amount of tool quality clears it for you.

This is not an anti-AI or pro-AI video. It’s a realistic one, because I don’t want people blackpilled when the breakthrough they expected doesn’t arrive.
