‘We really lost that’: 9/11 anniversary sparks emotional warning America has forgotten

News24 contributor Kristin Tate reflects on the profound impact of 9/11 and warns America has lost the sense of national unity that followed the terror attacks.

“It had a profound impact on me as a young American as it did for so many of us,” Ms Tate told News24 host Chris Kenny.

“It’s up to us, those of us who remember it, to explain not only what happened that day but what it meant for the country, and how we came together as a country after that event.

“We really lost that in this country.”
