Somebody left a comment saying it’s over. You don’t own the IPs, they’ve permanently changed them, taking on a multi-billion dollar industry is a revenge fantasy, accept it and move on. He’s right about a lot of that, and wrong about the conclusion.
I’m not a blackpill guy. I wrote a song called WhitePilled. But believing things get better isn’t the same as speaking it into existence, and the mistake most independents make is trying to replicate what a corporation does at a fraction of the scale. That’s not competing. That’s a fast way to go bankrupt.
They have the pipeline, the placement, the familiarity, and the balance sheet to eat five failures and win it back on the sixth. You have none of that. What you have is speed, direct contact with your audience, and the ability to pivot in a week instead of a fiscal year. Those are real advantages, and they only work if you stop measuring yourself with their scoreboard.
