The Odyssey and the STATE of Discourse

I want to talk about the state of online discourse, because from where I sit as a publisher it’s fascinating and honestly kind of dead. This isn’t my opinion on the Odyssey, everybody’s got one of those. It’s about why it’s become impossible to have an honest conversation about any entertainment. People amplify one individual’s take, paste it onto an entire group, and argue against positions nobody actually holds. I get into why that happens, why I don’t engage with it anymore, and the one-way street that runs underneath all of it.
