Chis Nolan just made ‘The Odyssey’ Backlash Even Worse by Dismissing It

Disney’s Moana just flopped in theaters, despite being universally praised by it’s target audience, who loved it for the same reason the critics didn’t care for it, namley that unlike Chris Nolan’s The Odyssey, it’s not a subversion of the original source material, in this case the epic poem by Homer, that maybe should not have starred the likes of Matt Damon and Lupita Nyong’o. The backlash is very real though, reaching even all of Greece, so now, Nolan himself has addressed it – but not in a way that will calm the waters.
