Kamala Harris reaches out to Mamdani amid Democrats’ shift further left

Wall Street Journal Editor-at-Large Gerard Baker reacts to reports of former vice president Kamala Harris reaching out to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani as she prepares her 2028 bid.

“The Democratic Party seems to interpret the Trump victory as an invitation to go even more extreme,” Mr Baker told Sky News host James Morrow.

“Kamala Harris, I think at this point it is name recognition.

“She sees clearly the need to embrace these far-left candidates.”
