To the surprise of no one, Supergirl from James Gunn and DC starring Milly Alcock was humiliated by Disney’s Toy Story 5, with a domestic opening that came in in the high 30s million. That’s a disaster, and numbers aren’t better worldwide. In fact, if the movie had done what it’s done worldwide in it’s domestic opening weekend alone, that still would have been bad – but that only goes to show that no one really wanted this movie, anywhere in the world … and no one wanted it less than did the female moviegoers the movie obsensibly was made to appeal. That’s not just me making some random claim, there is data to back that up, as we’re about to see here.
We’re also about to see how even the few fans of the Tom King run the move was based on ended up robbed, because screenwriter Ana Nogueira didn’t understand the finer but crucial details of his story…
