In a collapsing dystopian future, soldier David Canterra leads a high-stakes time travel mission to fix a catastrophic lab experiment. Upon his return, trapped in a somnolent state with his mind fractured by the journey, a shady doctor coerces his wife Lucy to extract the memories that could stop the world-devouring singularity.

🎬 Director’s Statement:
As a filmmaker, I gravitate toward kinetic, high-concept science fiction. With Somnolence, I set out to create an intense proof-of-concept that feels like a feature in under 10 minutes. The story explores the human cost of time travel and the terrifying fallout from a failed energy experiment that rips open a world-devouring singularity, an idea inspired by real-world fears surrounding the LHC and its particle collision experiments.
At its core, this film is about the quiet agony of love under extreme pressure: a wife who must help invade the damaged mind of the man she loves, knowing the procedure might break him forever, all in a desperate attempt to save the world. It’s an intimate, heartbreaking drama woven inside a high-stakes sci-fi thriller.
