‘Uncapped and rorted’: Labor accused of using NDIS to “hide spending blowout

Former Treasury assistant secretary David Pearl says the NDIS has become an “uncapped and rorted” scheme, accusing the Albanese government of misleading Australians about plans to curb access over the next four years.

“This is a cynical exercise, Jim Chalmers said to Mark Butler, I’m sure, I need a big hollow log to hide all the extra spending in this budget,” Mr Pearl told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Labor has no intention to kick so many people out of the program.”
