A 7.0 magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan

A magnitude 7.0 earthquake has been recorded off Taiwan’s northeast coast. Data showed it was at a depth of 73 kilometres in Keelung City and was also felt in Taipei. No immediate damage was reported as the second major earthquake to strike the island in a week.
